This evening celebrates the debut album from HIGHSIGH, the new experimental pop project of Ro(b)//ert Lundberg (JOBS), John Dieterich (Deerhoof), and Matt Mehlan (Skeletons), along with many friends.

The show features live performances from Lundberg and album contributors Paige Alice Naylor, and Sasha Lakind -- interwoven with a first listen of the new album Once Bend, out July 31st on Joyful Noise Recordings.

DESCRIPTION:

Come celebrate the LA premiere of Ro's by-passing-upon, released as an album, artist book, and score with LA-based AKP Recordings last October. This show will present a brand new band of collaborators interpreting Ro's hybrid score of flows, pools, and clouds of notation. Ambient tones, driving rhythms and flowing, bubbling patterns will paired with a poetic text narrative and slowly shifting images -- all exploring how water flows with and against property lines and plans created by humans. 

mingjia will present their unique solo deconstructions of the "Great American Songbook", while Gregg will share his signature electronic sound worlds.
